How the Furnace unlocks

The Furnace recipe comes from Ridge early in Spring, Year 1. Sources describe the trigger differently: Eurogamer ties the blueprint to the "A Croak and a Crest" main story quest, while GameRant reports it arriving by mail the day after finishing "A Bridge Too Far" (the broken bridge into Misty Shores). Either way, keep pushing the early Ridge quests and it shows up within the first nights.

Gathering the build materials

Both inputs are available with starting-tier tools:

• Copper Ore — mine it with the Rusty Pickaxe in the Cave of Echoes, entered from the beach in Misty Shores.
• Refined Stone — process raw Stone at a Refiner; the Refiner recipe unlocks around the same time.

What Furnace is used for

• Copper, Iron, and Gold Bars
• Charcoal
• Glass
