Build Kegs first
The most consistently recommended early money-maker is processing, not raw crops. Build at least three Kegs as soon as you can and keep them running — keg produce sells high for minimal effort. Red Wine takes 4 Blood Grapes and White Wine takes 4 White Grapes, and both grape crops regrow every 4 nights, so a small vineyard feeds your Kegs indefinitely.
Plant by coins per day, not sticker price
A high sell price does not mean a profitable crop — what matters is profit per day of field time. We rank every documented crop by that number on the best crops page: Pumpkin, Carrot, and Wild Potato lead the one-shot table, while Blackberry and Lava Pepper are the strongest documented regrowers.
High-value magical crops like Drikker, Sweet Wicca, and Gobbler sell for 500+ per unit, but their per-harvest yields are not documented yet, so treat them as promising rather than proven.
- One-shot: replant cost counts against you every cycle.
- Regrowing: seed cost is paid once — the longer the season, the better they get.
- Magical crops need Aquaflux watering, so fix your wand first.

Dig up the swirls and sparkles you see while exploring — they can contain Coins, Seeds, and crafting recipes. Catching Soul Blobs also pays off indirectly: Death rewards you with items and features, including control over night length.
Spend energy where spells cannot go
Farm spells run on mana instead of energy. Buying them early means watering, harvesting, and digging stop draining the energy you need for mining and foraging — effectively more income actions per night. See the full spell list for costs.
