Nokturna: the card game
Nokturna is a collectible card game created by Dragan Khazan that you can play with most townsfolk. It is a best-of-three match where each round consists of three turns, and the player with the highest total card score wins the round.
- Deck rules: exactly 20 cards, max 2 copies of any card, total printed points ≤ 60.
- You start each match with 5 cards in hand.
- Challenge NPCs by speaking to them and selecting "Invite".
How to get Nokturna cards
Cards drop from Dig Spots, Diving Spots, Fishing, and Bat Nooks. Winning Nokturna matches also rewards new cards. See the official wiki for the full card list.
Night extension: the Antique Clock
The default night lasts 15 real-time minutes. To change this, you need the Antique Clock from Death. He gives it to you after you catch a milestone number of Soul Blobs with the net he provides early in the game.
- 10 Soul Blobs → unlocks 25-minute night option (+10 min).
- 50 Soul Blobs → unlocks 10-minute night option (shorter).
- 100 Soul Blobs → unlocks 35-minute night option (longest).
How to catch Soul Blobs
Death gives you a Net during the first spring. Use it to catch the glowing Soul Blobs that appear around the map. Missed swings cost energy, so be patient and close the distance before swinging.
- Blue-flame Blobs move slowly — easiest to catch.
- Pink-flame Blobs are faster, but will hover near you if you stand still.
- Yellow-flame Blobs are fastest; trap them against a corner or wall.
How to change night duration
Once you have the Antique Clock, open the Pause Menu → Settings → "Night Duration" and pick the option you have unlocked. You can change this at any time.
What is still unverified
The exact Soul Blob milestone numbers (10 / 50 / 100) come from a single detailed community guide and have not been cross-confirmed by the official wiki. Treat them as provisional; the direction (Death rewards you with the Antique Clock after catching Soul Blobs) is consistently reported.
